From the Park to the Pedigree: The Story of Mike Green, Gaines Bullies, and Stetson

Four years ago, Mike Green stumbled across a moment that would change his life forever. While visiting a park, he noticed Braxton Gaines surrounded by a handful of stunning American Bullies. As Mike admired the dogs, he couldn’t have predicted that this chance encounter would ignite a journey into the heart of the Bully world—a journey that would lead him to become a cornerstone of Gaines Bullies and one of the most respected figures in the breed today.

The Beginning: From Pet Owner to Passionate Breeder

Mike’s story began with a dog named Bad Betty. He purchased her from Donald at Gaines Bullies with no intention beyond having a family pet. But Bad Betty was no ordinary dog. Her incredible structure, build, and presence were undeniable, and Mike’s background in photography and videography allowed him to capture her in ways that made the Bully community take notice. Every time he posted a photo or video of her on social media, he was inundated with messages from enthusiasts praising her.

What started as curiosity quickly grew into a full-blown obsession. Mike dove headfirst into learning everything he could about stacking, the show ring, and the intricate details of the American Bully breed. Drawing on his history as a coach, he trained Bad Betty to reach her full potential, showcasing her skills and structure in competitions. His dedication and eye for detail caught the attention of Donald, and the two joined forces to take Gaines Bullies to the next level.

Gaines Bullies: A Force in the Bully World

Over the past four years, Mike and Donald have built Gaines Bullies into a powerhouse kennel. They’ve dominated the show scene, producing litter after litter of exceptional dogs that embody the breed’s standard. Their strategic pairings and deep understanding of pedigrees have resulted in dogs that not only excel in the ring but also carry the legacy of some of the greatest names in the breed.

Mike’s latest breeding is a testament to their expertise. By combining bloodlines that include legends like Rocko, Grimm, Golden Child, and Bad Betty, they’ve created something truly special. This particular breeding—a pairing of Jazz (produced from Juggernaut, a Grimm son, and Bad Betty) with King Zilla—was a bold and calculated move, one that’s unlikely to be repeated. The result? A litter that’s already turning heads, including the standout male who has now found his way to my home.

Enter Stetson: The Next Great Bully

Today, December 14, 2024, my family proudly welcomes Stetson, the standout male from this historic breeding. Stetson embodies everything that makes the American Bully breed exceptional. While he’s primarily a family companion, his incredible potential is impossible to overlook. Watching Mike Green develop Bad Betty into a champion has inspired me to consider what might be possible for Stetson, whether in the show ring or simply as an ambassador for the breed.

As a videographer, I’m excited to feature Stetson heavily across my platforms—YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook under Roosevelt Road Video. While he won’t be the sole focus of my channels, his journey will be an integral part of the stories I share. From training sessions to candid family moments, Stetson will represent the breed’s best qualities while staying true to his role as a beloved family pet. The Bully community’s passion is contagious, and I’m thrilled to introduce them to this incredible dog.

Looking Ahead

Mike Green’s journey from a park encounter to becoming a leader in the Bully world is a story of passion, dedication, and the power of great content creation. It’s proof that when you combine a love for the breed with a willingness to learn and grow, incredible things can happen.

As for me, I’m honored to be part of this legacy, thanks to Mike and Donald at Gaines Bullies. Stetson may be the newest addition to our family, but he’s also the start of something much bigger. Whether he becomes a star in the show ring or simply a beloved figure in the Bully community, one thing is certain: the world is about to see what this dog can do.

So, to the Bully community—get ready. Subscribe to Roosevelt Road Video on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. Stetson has arrived, and this is just the beginning.
